Spoiler alert: The country loves seafood. Time
Louisiana-style seafood is coming to Murfreesboro’s Stones River Town Centre.
A Crab Fever banner now hangs above the space formerly occupied by Applebee’s, which closed more than a decade ago and has since been vacant.
"We’re excited that there’s a new restaurant coming to Stones River Town Centre," Darby said. "We’ve really got a lot of leasing momentum since the movie theater opened We;’ll continue to bring more options and great shopping experiences to our customers."
Crab Fever, which has a location in National City, Calif., has leased a space at Stones River Mall.
The California-based seafood kitchen signed a lease earlier this week, confirmed Steve Darby, property manager for the town center.
"The tenant is in the preliminary design phase of the restaurant. They’ve had architects on site. They should be submitting drawings to the building department for approval soon," Darby said.
Because they are in the design phase, there is no official opening date for the restaurant, Darby said.
According to the Crab Fever website, the only other location is based in National City, California.
The menu includes Low Country-boil favorites such as shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels, corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage.
Other menu items include a raw bar, crab legs, oysters, sliders, salads and desserts.
